Luke Mathew Wilder

Luke was born August 4, 1896 in Paskenta, California.

Luke was drafted into the service in 1918 and served as a Private in World War I, where he was assigned to Company B, 44th Infantry. Once out of the military, Luke married Cora Aileen Finely on November 22, 1920, in Willows, California. Cora was born November 16, 1902 in Lionsville California, the daughter of Everett Finley and Susy Myers.



Luke and Cora had 3 daughters. In 1929 Luke purchased 1140 acres in Red Bluff, California and ranched sheep and cattle. The ranch was located 1 mile south of the Red Bluff airport and was sold in 1959 to developers. The family keept 40 acres.

Luke Wilder passed away February 20, 1963, in Sacramento, California after a long illness. Cora passed away October 22, 1974, in Redding, California.
